BAKERBOND Q2100 columns – Phase Guide
C18: A “workhorse” column. Separates analytes through hydrophobic interactions.
C8: Separates analytes through hydrophobic interactions. Suitable for analytes that are too retentive on a C18 column.
Phenyl-Hexyl: Exhibits different selectivity to C18 & C8 phases. Suitable for the analysis of aromatic compounds and analytes with electron withdrawing groups such as halogens, nitro groups, ketones, esters, and acids.
Sil: Can be used in both reversed and normal phase modes for the separation of more polar analytes.
