Supplier: Corning
Description: Cellstripper® is a non-enzymatic cell dissociation solution formulated with a proprietary mixture of chelators that gently dislodge adherent cells in tissue culture. It is an alternative to trypsin when used with either serum-free or serum-supplemented media. Because Cellstripper® is a gentler reagent than trypsin, cells can be exposed to Cellstripper for longer periods of time. Cellstripper® achieves superior results in comparison to enzymatic dissociation products.

The TX150 has the capacity to store one program with 30 segments. The TXF200 can also be programmed via the user interface and can store up to 10 programs containing 100 segments. The programming interface includes set target temperature with a choice of time to target temperature or temperature ramp speed and an additional programmable relay for on/off control of ancillary equipment or refrigeration units.

Supplier: Heidolph Instruments GmbH & Co.KG
Description: Safe, fast and efficient way of heating and stirring round bottom flasks from 10 ml to 5 litres, suitable for use with all makes of hotplates with diameter up to 145 mm. Heat-On blocks replace oil baths and heating mantles, manufactured from solid aluminium they provide excellent heat transfer, prevent hotspots and avoid spills making chemistry safer. Unique well design prevents flasks cracking whilst maximising surface area contact.

Supplier: OMEGA BIOTEK
Description: The E.Z.N.A.® Viral RNA Kit is designed for the isolation of viral RNA from cell free fluids such as plasma, serum, urine and cell culture supernatant. The procedure completely removes contaminants and enzyme inhibitors making viral RNA isolation fast, convenient and reliable. The kit is also suitable for the isolation of total RNA from cultured cells, tissues and bacteria. RNA purified using the E.Z.N.A.® Viral RNA method is ready for all downstream applications such as RT-PCR.
Supplier: BIOWEST
Description: In 1976, Guilbert and Iscove demonstrated that precursor cells of erythrocytes and macrophages could be cultured in a reduced-serum medium supplemented with albumin, transferrin, lecithin, and selenium. Iscove's medium is a modification of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DME) containing selenium, additional amino acids and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, HEPES buffer, and potassium nitrate instead of ferric nitrate. Further studies have demonstrated that Iscove's medium will support murine B lymphocytes, haemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B-cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T-lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells.
Supplier: VWR Collection
Description: These 50 µm thick polyester films provide secure sealing around every well, not just a cover, thus minimising evaporation, preventing spillage and well-to-well contamination, and eliminating 'edge effects' in sensitive ELISA assays. Polyester films can also be used with tissue culture plates for short-term storage, incubation, and containment of biohazards.

Supplier: BIOWEST
Description: Bovine serum albumin (BSA) is commonly used in cell culture protocols, particularly where protein supplementation is necessary and the other components of serum are unwanted. In cell culture, its main role is as a carrier of small molecules. Because of its negative charge, BSA binds water, salts, fatty acids, vitamins and hormones, then carries these bound components between tissues and cells. The binding capacity also makes BSA an effective scavenger to remove toxic substances, including pyrogens, from the medium.
Supplier: MILLIPORE
Description: These centrifugal filter units can be used for a number of applications: concentration of biological samples containing antigens, antibodies, enzymes, nucleic acids, or microorganisms; purification of macromolecular components found in tissue culture extracts or cell lysates and protein removal prior to HPLC; concentration of dilute or pre-purified proteins from column eluents; desalting, buffer exchange and protein dialysis; size exclusion and protein fractionation.

Description: The Leibovitz L-15 media were formulated to promote the cell growth in medium not balanced in CO₂. The formulations were developed with the sodium bicarbonate buffer. The Leibovitz L-15 media are buffered by a complement of salts, free base amino acids and galactose so they can be used under conditions of free gaseous exchange with the atmosphere. When properly supplemented, L-15 Medium supports established cell lines, such as HEp-2 and LLC-MK2, as well as primary explants of embryonic and adult human tissue. Many viruses also have been successfully cultivated in this medium.

Supplier: JULABO GMBH
Description: The compact AWC100 air to water recirculating cooler is designed to remove small heat loads from external systems where cooling water can be above ambient and where temperature control is secondary. Coolers which do not have a refrigeration unit are ideal for use in circuits with Peltier elements, analytical devices, polarimeters, refractometers and CCD cameras. The ventilator speed (i.e. the cooling capacity) can be adjusted in two stages, cooling capacity depends on the temperature difference between return line temperature and ambient temperature. The cooling principle: Warm bath fluid is pumped through the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is cooled by a ventilator motor and thus removes the produced heat.
