Description: For DNase digestion during RNA purification. The RNase-free DNase set provides a rapid and efficient on-column digestion of DNA during RNA purification from a wide variety of sample sources using E.Z.N.A.® RNA kits. The DNases can be efficiently removed in subsequent steps. Generally, DNase digestion is not required for RNA purified with E.Z.N.A.® RNA kits since the silica-membrance, spin-column technology efficiently removes the majority of the DNA without DNase treatment. However, complete DNA removal may be necessary for certain RNA applications that are sensitive to very small amounts of DNA.

Description: AccuStart™ II PCR SuperMix is a 2X concentrated, ready-to-use reaction cocktail for routine PCR amplification of DNA fragments up to 4 kb. It contains all components, except primers and template. AccuStart™ II PCR SuperMix simplifies reaction assembly, improves assay reproducibility, and reduces the risk of contamination. A key component is AccuStart™ II Taq DNA polymerase which contains monoclonal antibodies that bind to the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94 °C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly.

Supplier: OMEGA BIOTEK
Description: RNA-Solv® Reagent is a one reagent system for the isolation of total RNA from cells and tissues. The reagent, a single-phase solution consisting of phenol and guanidine isothiocyanate, is a modification of the single-step RNA isolation method developed by Chomczynski and Sacchi. The sample is homogenised and lysed in RNA-Solv® Reagent, which maintains the integrity of the RNA while disrupting and denaturing endogenous RNases and other cellular components. Extraction of the lysate with chloroform further denatures proteins and separates the mixture into an organic and an aqueous phase. RNA remains exclusively in the aqueous phase, and is subsequently recovered by isopropanol.

Description: Validation of aseptic processing should include a simulation test using a nutrient medium, known as the media fill or media simulation test. The selection of the nutrient medium should be made based on the quantity of the product produced, and the selectivity, clarity, concentration and suitability for sterilisation. The process simulation test should imitate, as closely as possible, the routine aseptic manufacturing process, and include all the critical subsequent manufacturing steps. Normally process simulation tests should be repeated twice a year per shift and process. The number of containers used for media fills should be sufficient to enable a valid evaluation. For small batches, the number of containers for media fills should at least equal the size of the product batch.
