Designed for for PFAS analysis, these kits contain 0,7 ml polypropylene snap ring vials with silicone white/polypropylene transparent septum, available with or without slit.

  • PFAS are highly persistent and are therefore also known as perpetual chemicals; they are toxic and harmful to health

  • More than 1,000 chemicals belong  to this group of substances
  • Many everyday objects contain these problematic substances, which enter the human body either directly or via the environment
  • The fluorine compounds are hardly degradable and therefore remain in the environment and sometimes in the body for a long time

PFAS stands for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and are colloquially known as 'forever chemicals.' They are a group of man-made chemicals that have been widely used in various industrial and consumer products since the 1940’s. PFAS are known for their strong chemical bonds, which make them resistant to heat, water, and oil. This property has made them popular for use in a wide range of applications, including firefighting foams, non-stick cookware (such as PTFE), waterproof fabrics, food packaging, and many other household and industrial products.

It is essential during the PFAS sample process to provide vials and caps that are PFAS-free. Using the new VWR® PFAS kits ensures the integrity of the data collected and meets all required collection standards. VWR® has created a series of vials and caps that are compatible with all common autosamplers. These vials and caps are recommended for environmental monitoring, food and water quality testing, product testing, industrial quality assurance, commercial household cleaning products, food packaging, and sample testing.
